Illustration for a blog post about how adult life can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Over the years, the kind of illustrations that I have created more often have been those that are meant to go hand in hand with a piece of writing. When working on editorial illustrations, I always try to express as much as possible with as little as possible, adapting my style to the topic, the tone and the medium in which it’s published.

A lo largo de los años, creo que el tipo de ilustración que más he trabajado es aquella que está pensada para ir de la mano de un texto. En este tipo de trabajos, siempre intento transmitir lo máximo con lo mínimo, adaptando mi estilo al tema del texto, el tono en el que está escrito y el medio en el que se publica.

When working on editorial illustration, I always try to:
Help the comprehension of the ideas in the text.
Keep an uniform style to transmit a sense of cohesion.
Create an appropriate visual universe that matches the tone of the writing.
Draw attention to the content and ease the reading.
Express with images in a clear and effective way.

Mi objetivo con este tipo de ilustraciones siempre es:
Ayudar a que un texto se entienda mejor.
Mantener un estilo uniforme que le dé cohesión a la pieza a la que acompañan.
Crear un mundo visual adecuado que transmita lo mejor posible el tono del texto.
Hacer más atractivo el contenido y favorecer la lectura.
Expresar de forma sencilla pero efectiva.

During these past years, I have made many of these illustrations for my own periodic newsletter, which I always conceive as a whole - mixing text and images to create appealing content.
